A Skål International Delhi Initiative

Skål International Delhi recently supported 'An Initiative Touch Your Soul' (AITYS).

AITYS is a volunteer charitable trust with the objective to better the lives of the underprivileged and pursuing a belief that ‘no child should be deprived of education because of poverty’.

Under the aegis of Skål International Delhi President Greesh Bindra, a generous contribution was made for the Covid-19 Zero Hour Campaign which will sustain a livelihood for 70 families in upcoming severe winter the remote villages of Uttarakhand, one of the states in India. It has been a trying time for them due to the pandemic resulting in unemployment and subsequently hardship and poverty.

AITYS was founded by Madhu Chowdhury in 2012 after a chance visit to Uttarakhand when she realised the plight of the villagers in the forgotten interiors of the small but beautiful Frontier Tourism state of Uttarakhand. The trust has come a long way since 2012 and today is proud to have reached out to nearly 15,000 people in this area with assistance thus offering them a new lease on life.

Skål International Delhi is proud to be associated with organisations like AITYS and delighted to have brought a smile to the face of these underprivileged families. We strive to work in this direction particularly in these difficult times.

The gratitude expressed by the trust is sincerely evident in this video:
