VOTE FOR CLUB OF THE YEAR
With only four days to go to the deadline for voting for Skål Club of the Year, just over 1% of the membership has cast its vote in the competition. You have until midnight Central European Time on 31 August 2007 to cast your vote. Go to the “Members Only Area” click on Club of the Year at the top of the page and cast your vote for the candidate of your choice. VOTE NOW!

68th SKÅL WORLD CONGRESS
The 68th Skål World Congress will take place in Belek, near Antalya, Turkey from 4-9 November 2007. It is the one opportunity every year for all Skål Clubs worldwide to meet and exchange views. The Annual General Assembly will be held on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 November 2007 and will include a workshop on Sustainable Development in Tourism to be held at 14.00 hours at the Gloria Golf Resort and the Business to Business session at 15.30 at the Maritim Pine Beach Resort. As the largest association of travel and tourism professionals worldwide every country in attendance will have the opportunity to promote its tourism product with a free table per country. Extra tables are available at €50.00 each (fifty Euro) and lap top connections are also available at €50.00 each.

FLORIMOND VOLCKAERT FUND
The annual raffle in aid of the Florimond Volckaert Fund will also take place during the Congress. Clubs are asked to contribute an item for the raffle. This year Skål members are asked to bring a piece of art or other form of handicraft which will be exhibited during the congress and then sold. The proceeds will also go to the Florimond Volckaert Fund.
TALENT SHOW
A special Talent Show will be held on Monday evening at the Gloria Golf Resort. We are aware that we have many talented Skål members worldwide and this is the opportunity for them to demonstrate this talent to other Skål members.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION FOR THE CONGRESS
The deadline for registration for the Congress is 18 September 2007 and while to Gloria Golf Resort and the Gloria Verde Resort are both full there are plenty of rooms available at the magnificent Maritim Pine Beach Resort. Please forward your registration as soon as possible.

SPECIAL FARES
Turkish Airlines are the official carrier for the Congress. There is a special code which is available on the Skål website www.skal.org The discount is 25% off all types of fares except promotional, IT and domestic fares unless these are in conjunction with a Turkish Airlines long-haul flight.
Special Fares are also available on Sun Express, a low cost airline directly to Antalya from Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich and Düsseldorf on specific dates. The special rate is Euro 265.00 return taxes included. Reservations and payment must be made through the General Secretariat. TOURISM LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

50TH ANNIVERSARY OF SKÅL IN NEW ZEALAND
The 50th Anniversary of Skål in New Zealand will be held in Rotorua from 21-23 September 2007. The President of Skål International, Litsa Papathanassi will be present for the celebrations.
